Reginald H. Barnett is a seasoned healthcare leader, consultant, and speaker with more than two decades of experience transforming organizational culture, elevating patient experience, and strengthening leadership performance across hospital systems nationwide. Known for his warm presence, strategic mindset, and people-centered leadership style, Reginald has become a trusted guide for executives, teams, and institutions seeking measurable and meaningful change.
Reginald’s career began in frontline healthcare roles, where he quickly became known for his excellence in service, communication, and mentorship. His ability to connect with people at every level of an organization opened the door to leadership roles focused on patient experience, staff development, and operational improvement. Over the years, he advanced into influential positions including Director of Patient Experience and Patient Experience Officer, where his leadership made a profound impact.
At Southern California Hospital in Culver City, Reginald successfully led initiatives that improved the hospital’s CMS Star Rating from one star to four stars, sustaining that progress for consecutive years. He designed and executed system-wide strategies, facilitated interdepartmental collaboration, and coached leaders across clinical and ancillary teams — all with the goal of improving patient outcomes and maximizing staff engagement.
At North Shore Medical Center in Miami, Reginald developed and led a full-service Patient Navigator Team and guided the facility to become #1 in its region for patient satisfaction. His work also includes training more than 800+ healthcare professionals, developing marketwide service excellence programs, and advising committees focused on quality, grievance resolution, and organizational alignment.
